We're pleased to announce the 9.20 release of SProc, bringing you several new developments and bug fixes.

New developments

Bulk offer rejection

Client users managing offers are now able to bulk reject offers. Where multiple offers have been made, users have the option to reject offers on the requirement action menu.

The reject reason and comment are sent to suppliers, notifying them of their offer status.

Bulk offer rejection 1

This functionality has also been included to the offer acceptance process. Where multiple offers have been made, when a user is accepting an offer, they are presented with an option to 'Reject all other offers?’.

Upon selecting this option, they are again presented with the rejection reason and comments which are then provided to the related suppliers via email.

Expose company additional user roles

Users with given administrator user permissions now have the ability to manage their company’s additional roles. This permission is enabled via access account assistance.

Expose company additional user roles 1

This includes the viewing, editing and creation of roles and their access to system modules. Users can only assign system modules to modules that they also have access to, in other words, a user cannot assign a module to another user that they do not themselves have access to.

Expose company additional user roles 2

The list of additional roles and associated permissions is available to export to Excel.

This functionality cuts down the time spent on having to request changes user role permission changes via access adam and instead gives the power to the user to manage this.

Ability to delete custom reports

Having many old custom reports visible can become confusing.

Users are now able to delete their own custom reports from their custom report list.

Ability to delete custom reports

NHS PDS lookup - External referral creation process

To help speed up referrals and reduce errors we have enabled the ability for external referrers to use the PDS lookup to refill patient information, instead of forcing users to manually type and rekey information.

When a user is found using the lookup, users can select to create a referral against the found record which in turn pre-populates the referral form with the PDS data.

Disability indicator wording change

Previously, the patient disability indicator did not prompt users to populate whether or not the patient has a disability.

To improve the capturing of patient general information, the wording on the 'disability' field has been amended.

Instead of a just a text box labelled ‘Disability’, the label now reads 'Does the patient have a disability?'

Editable referral discharge date - form uploads

On ‘Discharge to Assess form upload’ referrals, the discharge date is now exposed and editable when the discharge date field is optional or required by the Referral or Referral Form Layout.

This function is available via the action menu on the referral/referral form.

Auto-creation of a referral via a review

In alignment with the NHSEs new referrals (pathways), the ability to create referrals via a review has been developed to promote better data quality.

This is an optional function and the current referral process has not been impacted by this change.

Referral creation via reviews must be configured in Admin tools via my company.

Within Review Eligibility Outcome, a drop-down field has been added labelled ‘Generate new referral type’.

This drop down contains all on-display referral types configured within the company.

Auto-creation of a referral via a review 1

Shown in the picture above; this configuration will result in the referral type ‘Referral for re-assessment of..’ being created when the review outcome type is selected as ‘CHC Assessment Required’.

When creating a review (pictured below), should the Review outcome type in the front-end this is labelled ‘Review Eligibility outcome’ be CHC Assessment required then the referral creation wizard will be displayed upon saving the review.

Auto-creation of a referral via a review 2

Shown below; when a review has resulted in the creation of a referral, the new sub-form tab (Grey bar at the bottom) ‘Subsequent Patient Referrals’ will be populated with the newly created referral information which can also be used to navigate to that referral.

Auto-creation of a referral via a review 3

In addition, when viewing the referral that has been created via the review, a new pane has been added labelled ‘Original Review’. This pane contains reference to the review from which the referral had been created from.

Manually linking a referral via a review

In conjunction with automatically creating a referral via a review, there has also been a development of manual-linking functionality.

This functionality allows users to create a link between referrals via an action button/link.

In the instance where a referral has been created in the past with an outcome that has been mapped to generate a referral but a referral had not been created, then on the review detail page users now have options to either create 'New Subsequent Referral' or 'Link to Existing Subsequent Referral'.

Manually linking a referral via a review

Selecting New subsequent referral will navigate the user to the referral creation wizard to create the referral which has been mapped against the Review outcome type.

Selecting to link to an existing subsequent referral enables the user link the review to an existing referral that has not already been linked to a review as a subsequent referral.

See our handy guide for more information on automatic and manual linking of a referral via a review.

Review referral link import

Access customers can request the bulk linking of existing referrals to reviews as a data import has been developed.

Update reviews custom report data source

As reviews can now generate a new referral, reviews can have a parent link relationship for referrals.

A new data source ‘Original Reviews’ has been added to custom reports under the data source ‘Referrals’ to enable the Subsequent Referrals to be reported on.

Users are able to report on whether a referral originated from a review or not by querying ‘Subsequent Referral ID’.

If no subsequent Referral ID is presented in the report, it highlights that no Subsequent Referral exists via the review.

Auto-creation of a referral via an appeal

In alignment with the NHSEs new referrals (pathways), the ability to create referrals via a review has been developed to promote better data quality.

This is an optional function and the current referral process has not been impacted by this change.

Referral creation via appeal must be configured in Admin tools via my company.

Within ‘Patient Case types’ back-end labelling for appeal types, a drop-down field has been added labelled ‘ Generate new referral type’.

This drop down contains all on-display referral types configured within the company.

Back-end configuration

Auto-creation of a referral via an appeal 1

When a user creates an appeal and chooses an appeal type that has a new referral type configured the following will happen when the user clicks save:

Front-end appeal

Auto-creation of a referral via an appeal 2

The user will be navigated to the start of the internal referral wizard with the new referral type pre-selected and locked. The user should be required to select an activity type from the list available on the referral type, or from all possible activity types when no specific ones are set.

The appeal will be visible on both the original referral and the new referral(Subsequent) it is the causation of. Patient Referral and Referral Form main objects has 2 panes to show the Source Appeal and Subsequent Referrals if they exist.

Manually linking a referral via an appeal

In conjunction with automatically creating a referral via an Appeal, there has also been a development of manual-linking functionality.

This functionality allows users to create a link between an appeal and a referral via an action button/link.

In the instance where a referral has been created in the past with an appeal type that has been mapped to generate a referral but a referral had not been created, then on the appeal detail page users now have options to either create “New Subsequent Referral” or “Link to Existing Subsequent Referral”.

Akin to the linking of referrals to review functionality, Selecting New subsequent referral will navigate the user to the referral creation wizard to create the referral which has been mapped against the Appeal type.

Selecting to link to an existing subsequent referral enables the user link the appeal to an existing referral that has not already been linked to an appeal as a subsequent referral.

See our handy guide for more information on automatic and manual linking of a referral via an appeal.

Appeal referral link import

Access customers can request the bulk linking of existing referrals to Appeals as a data import has been developed.

Update appeals custom report data source

As appeals can now generate a new referral, appeals can have a parent link relationship for referrals.

A new data source ‘Original Appeals’ has been added to custom reports under the data source ‘Referrals’ to enable the Subsequent Referrals to be reported on.

Users are able to report on whether a referral originated from an appeal or not by querying ‘Subsequent Referral ID’.

If no subsequent Referral ID is presented in the report, it highlights that no Subsequent Referral exists via an Appeal.

Mosaic integration improvements

Updates have been made to improve management capability for Adam Access colleagues and visibility of integration to customers.

Client users are now able to see that the integration has successfully added the record to Mosaic via the activity: Service Request Completion Message Sent/Service Request Completion Message Failed.

AACC Reporting Go-live

The All Age Continuing Care report is now live. This NHSE required report is kin to the PLDS (Patient level data-set), however this report includes patient data for those under 18.

In addition, this report has introduced new referral-pathways that are required by NHSE.

Access Adam assistance is available to users that require help with referral configuration.
