In alignment with the NHSEs new referrals (pathways), the ability to create referrals via a review has been developed to promote better data quality. There are two ways this can be done. Through auto-creation or through manually linking.
Auto-creation of a referral
When you have created and saved a review which has the correct configuration, and then revisit it, it will automatically configure the referral which has been mapped against that specific review.
Referral form cancelled in error
A cancelled referral form cannot be reinstated and a new form will need to be created.
View the review eligibility outcomes
If you have Client Administrator access, follow these simple steps to review eligibility outcomes:
Click Admin and then My Company.
Click CMS Configuration.
Within the Reviews section, click on Review Eligibility Outcomes.
Click the Advanced Search button.
Within Review Outcome Classification, filter the column by typing 'Review'.
Within the Generate New Patient Referral Type, you can see if there are any review outcome types that has been populated.
Click into a Patient Review Outcome Type.
You can see the Generate New Patient Referral Type drop down.
๐Note: Make sure 'Generate New Patient Referral Type' is populated otherwise when the review is completed, a referral will not be generated. This drop down list contains all on-display referral types configured, and will only appear if 'Review Outcome Classification' has been assigned to 'Review'.
Create a new review
If you have Client Administrator access and have the correct permissions, follow these simple steps to create a new review:
Click the CMS tab.
Click on Patients.
In the Search field enter the patients name and then click into it.
Click on Reviews tab.
Under the Patients Reviews section, click on the New button.
Fill in the necessary information. Make sure you specify a person in the Review Allocated To field.
Click Finish.
Your review will now be in 'Pending Completion' status.
Complete a review
To complete your review follow these simple steps:
Click into the review
Click Actions, and Complete Review.
Within the Completion Details section, fill out all mandatory sections.
Click Save.
Manual linking of a referral
There has been new development of manual-linking functionality, allowing you to create a link between referrals.
When a referral has been created in the past, which has been mapped to generate a referral, but a referral has not been created, on the review detail page you can now either create a 'New Subsequent Referral' or 'Link to Existing Subsequent Referral'.
You will only be able to see this option if 'Review Eligibility Outcome' has been linked to an option that has the configuration within 'Generate New Patient Referral Type' so that a new referral can be created or linked to an existing referral.
To be able to see these manual-linking functionalities, make sure your review is in the completed status and then follow these simple steps:
Click on the completed review.
Click Actions, to see the two linking options.
If you select New Subsequent Referral you will be taken to the referral creation wizard to create the referral which has been mapped against the review outcome type.
If you select Link to Existing Subsequent Referral, you can link the review to an existing referral that has not already been linked to a review as a subsequent referral.
