Cancel an assessment

There may be times when assessments need to be cancelled due to changing circumstances, patient withdrawal, or administrative reasons. To record and manage these cancellations whilst maintaining complete audit trails, as part of the v9.25 release you now have a 'Date Cancelled' field within the assessment, which you can update accordingly.

Follow these simple steps to navigate to this area and amend the cancellation date:

  1. Click the CMS tab and then Assessments.

  2. Click the magnifying glass next to the assessment you wish to update.

  3. Scroll down to Date Cancelled, and enter the cancellation date.

  4. Scroll back up and click Save.

The system has now recorded the cancellation date and has audited the entry.

If circumstances change and you need to reinstate an assessment, just clear the 'Date Cancelled' field and the system will automatically document the reinstatement.

Assessment form fields

The CMS assessments list has been populated with the new fields, 'Date Cancelled', 'Assessment Form ID', and 'Assessment Form Status'.

This will dramatically reduce time from navigating between individual assessment records, and instead giving you a clear overview of assessment status which you can sort and filter within the list.
